My Teaching Philosophy

 

 

A few of my main thoughts about teaching:

• ​teaching is one of the most important professions in the world - without it, we wouldn't have anyone to teach us many important aspects of life

• education is constantly changing, therefore our teaching skills and strategies must change with it

• every student is unique and learns in different ways

• making learning relevent and purposeful to a student helps them to understand why they are doing so 

• making learning visual and hands on can help a student better see and understand the material

• building relationships are key!

• focusing on students' interests can help them to understand and stay focused

• allowing students to take control of their learning and giving them the freedom of choice with some guidelines can be beneficial toward the student's educational growth

• We all learn from experience!
